Joan's Qualifications

I am a Registered Representative with Walnut Street Securities, Inc., a member of FINRA and SIPC.

I am a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the National Association of Tax Professionals.

I studied accounting at Queens College and received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Fordham University. In 1985 I earned the professional CFP™ certification from the International Board of Standards and Practices for Certified Financial Planners after completing the program from the College for Financial Planning.

In addition to the work I do as a financial representative and income tax preparer, I have taught a CFP™ Board-Registered Program as an adjunct faculty member at Long Island University, CW Post Campus.

My licenses and designations include:  Series 6, 7, 22, 63 and 65; Certified Financial Planner certificant and Life, Accident and Health Insurance Licenses. 

I periodically present seminars on financial topics and write articles for local papers about the subject of planning.
